ข้อมูลby Johnst » Sat Jun 30, 2012 4:34 am

One of the best places sought after by travelers is Kerala. Kerala is also one of the most visited places by newlywed couples. It offers a variety of entertainment for people from every walk of life.

Among all the places, beaches are the greatest attractions of Kerala honeymoon packages. One of these beaches is the famous Kochi beach. The pleasant climate and the evergreen countryside make it worth a visit anytime of the year. On the New Year eve, the Kochi beach houses the colorful festival of Carnival. The port of Kochi was a center of trade and commerce during the foreign reign of Portuguese, Dutch and the British. The obscure fishing village was thus transformed into a sophisticated township. The Indo-European architecture even today stands as a symbol of the cosmopolitan character and cultural interfaces of the city. Each corner of Fort Kochi has something historic to offer to the tourists which can be best explored by taking a leisure walk through Kochi.

The major attractions of the cultural heritage of Kochi are the ancient Bolghatty Palace, the Dutch palace and the Jewish Synagogue. Bolghatty is an attractive island near the city of Ernakulam and is famous for the Bolghatty palace built by Dutch in the year 1744 AD. Yet another attraction is the Dutch palace or the Mattancherry palace, which also houses a museum at Mattancherry. The palace was built in the mid 16th century by the Portuguese and was later extended and repaired by the Dutch. The Jewish Synagogue was built by the prosperous Jewish community. It was built in 1586 AD and is the oldest of its kind in India.
